Dear Sir, This is kind of very urgent request, Please help me with my questions. My citizenship interview based on my green card is scheduled on 1/20/22 at USCIS office in US. Unfortunately, my mother(Indian citizen) staying in India passed away this morning. I need to go to India to perform her last rights. Does USCIS allow me to reschedule the interview date? If yes, how to contact them? Does rescheduling the interview date has negative impact on citizenship process further?

Thanks for your time. Hoping to hear at the earliest, I have flight tomorrow evening PST. Regards Raj

Hello Rajiv,

Hello Rajiv Ji,

I am currently on my O-1 and I self-petitioned my EB-1A I-140 in March which received an RFE in December. During this wait time, my employer also sponsored for my EB-1A I-140. Which also received RFE and was later approved in Jan. Would the denial of EB-1 self-petition result in revocation of approved I-140 as they are in the same category?

My child is a USA citizen and filed for me and my wife's green card application as parents. While traveling we found out that there is a blue corner notice against us for a false 498 case. now our immigration has come to a halt (we are at the interview stage) and the immigration office says they won't proceed till there is resolution to the case. This case in India was filed on false accusations with no merit/ no evidence. Although we are trying to resolve this in india and have hired a lawyer there, it's taking years and years. Is there any hope that US immigration will approve the greencard?
