I went to Arlington office on Wednesday, October 27th early in the morning around 7am. There were maybe 30 people already waiting in front of the building before me. Normally office opens at 7.30 if I am not mistaken. I was waiting not more than 15 minutes when immigration officer showed up and started asking people if there was anyone having an appointment. He came to me and asked the same question. I said I did not have any appointment and that I came for interim EAD. He told me that everyone has to have an appointment in order get an interim EAD.

He also gave me a piece of paper with directions on how to make an appointment. A lot of people were given the same. That piece of paper said that one has to make an appointment on line and there was a telephone number. I thought that it was going to be faster to make it by telephone, but they said that appointments for interim EAD are made only online. This thing is called "infopass". To make an appointment was very easy. However, the closest appointment I got was November 10th. So, if you are planning to go to immigration office, please keep in mind that you closest available appointment you may get could be in two weeks or more. You will also need to have printer in order to print a confirmation letter of your appointment, which you are to show to immigration officer, so that you can enter the building.
