My mother's GC in limbo due to Covid
Hello Rajiv, Hope all is well.
My mother is in India since over 2 years now. Her GC is not expired. Due to covid she couldn't travel until now back to US due to her age and complexities of travel/testing due to Covid. I read your article and it is very encouraging to know she can travel on unexpired GC. As the SB-1 process is time consuming (no appointments available) and interview process in Mumbai is tough for her, I want to chose this option.
My question is : If I choose to bring her on her unexpired GC, is there any confirmation I need from the airline that they will let her board? I do not see any communication regarding this with any airline sites. She is 85 and I do not want her to be stranded once I bring her into the country. What else can I be prepared before booking her flight?
Appreciate your response. T
Thank you and warm regards Sateesh Jamakhandi
