Today I went in because it's 91 days after my I-765 Employment app was processed. I was told to do this after phoning the 1 800 number, they told me go in to the Honolulu office and request an Interim EAD because it had not yet been approved.
When I got there, I was told that it had actually been approved May 16th ( I was also told that when I went to get biometrics the person did not stamp both my letters and do fingprint/photo for the I-765, just the I-485, so I went there again).
After being sent away I wanted answers and called the phone help line again. Yet again they tell me that Honolulu Immigration needs to give me an Interim EAD. I tell them Honolulu Immigration won't give me one because I have been processed and approved.
The question I have is...Why can't the phone help line see the May 16th date of being approved? The help line people still tell me it has not been approved at all and that the Honolulu office needs to give me an Interim ead. They told me to go back in and ask to see a supervisor. Well that got me no where .. the person I saw said " oh you called the help line.. that's sad...they don't see what we see on our computers" like I had any other choice.
I want to know if this is a known fact that the help line people cannot see what the local office can see on their computers? If so what's the point in calling the help line?
Still don't know where my application stands, getting two stories, one says I'm approved the other says im not and entitled to Interim EAD.
